{Beyond every mountain, there's another mountain.}

After graduating with my BSN, I traveled to Haiti to spend 2 weeks working with midwives at "Mama Baby Haiti". We spent time in the rural mountain village as well as the inner city slums of Cap Haitien providing free prenatal, intranatal and postnatal care of Haitian mamas. It was vastly different than the Labor unit was was used to in Houston and truthfully, I preferred the simplicity. There isn't enough time or space here to discuss how Haiti impacted my life. Suffice it to say that I would give almost anything to return.
